About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible to develop and implement the food relief coordination program to support community recovery. Also completing research and provide advice and briefings on issues relating to improving safety in in the context of community recovery and respond to and manage issues related to the Safe City team priorities in Sydney LGA.
To be held accountable for working conditions under the control of the position and for detecting any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or behaviour and to take immediate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health, safety and welfare arising from any activity.
Within a community development framework, oversee the design, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of a range of events, programs, and initiatives to meet the outcomes of the Safe City business plan in line with organisational objectives and priorities.
Work collaboratively with residents, business and visitors to develop and deliver community led initiatives to increase safety and respond to local issues
Develop and maintain effective relationships and collaborative partnerships with City colleagues, local stakeholders and the community, to increase actual and perceived safety
Understanding of collective impact in a food relief context
Existing networks with government and non-government agencies in the City of Sydney local government area.
Experience of working in domestic and family violence, drug and alcohol, post release services, social housing communities or youth and community services.
Understanding of the responsibilities and processes of Local Government in New South Wales and associated legislation.
