Job Description

Public Sector People are proud to be partnering with City West Water to assist with multiple roles within the Project Delivery and Partnerships section of the Infrastructure and Delivery Business Group.

The Project Delivery and Partnerships section delivers a significant portion of CWW’s infrastructure capital works, including all major and complex projects, and its performance has a significant impact on service delivery standards and the community as well as financial performance and reputation. The operating model seeks to support a human-centred approach to delivery partnerships, multi-disciplinary capability and a culture that enables new ways of working and innovation whilst maintaining appropriate technical oversight to capital works processes and the creation of water, sewerage and alternative water infrastructure.

The position exists to enable exceptional service delivery at City West Water;
  • to lead a team to deliver a designated infrastructure works program to time, cost and quality requirements.
The role delivers on our non-negotiables of project delivery (safety, reliability, compliance regulated standards for infrastructure quality, water quality and environmental protection) while also playing a leadership role in project management capability development, stakeholder relationships and partnerships in the delivery of customer-centric services.

As part of the Project Delivery Leadership Team, the position supports the Project Delivery & Partnerships Manager to drive a culture that places customers first, focuses on high performance and developing our people.

The position is important to achieving CWW’s vision of being an exceptional service provider that puts customers first and benefits the community. The position ensures alignment of our delivery programs with our service delivery strategy. This position leads a team effortlessly in sync with our planning and operations teams, developing and delivering a suite of traditional and non-traditional service infrastructure, protecting CWW service delivery standards and the community as well as financial performance and reputation.

The position lives and breathes safety – for our people, for our contractors, for the community, and brings a strong improvement mindset, ensuring we take a learning approach while always managing risk responsibly.

Success in the role requires strong project, program and contract management skills and a growth mindset. Additionally, this role will require advanced skills in collaboration and engagement with internal and external customers and stakeholders. In particular, the role requires strong relationships internally, whilst fostering productive relationships across the future water sector and private sector suppliers to stay ahead of the game.

Demonstrating the people attributes outlined in our business strategy – agile, diverse and trusted – will be critical to achievement in the role.
