Public Sector People is proudly partnering with Brimbank City Council to appoint a Procurement Business Partner within the Business Support - Procurement department, Organisational Excellence Directorate. Reporting directly to the Coordinator Procurement & Contracts the role will have a clear mandate for fostering a business partnering approach with key stakeholders within the assigned Directorate to provide operational and strategic procurement advice and services.
Furthermore, the role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to facilitate procurement activities that include:
- requests for quotation (RFQ)
- preparation of contracts
- review exemptions
- extensions, variations, reporting, training,
- procurement compliance
- and general assistance.
To be considered for the role, you will hold a degree or diploma in procurement/contract management, experience in coordination, development and maintenance of tendering and contract processes and systems, relevant software, regulatory and legislative frameworks in Local Government. You will possess sound written and verbal skills and the ability to build interpersonal relations, drive change and improvements and provide clear advice and support when apt.
Working history in a similar role within Local Government/Councils will be preferred. Probity checks will be required, and all interviews will be undertaken under the current COVID-19 Safety guidelines.
