Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of a Procurement Administration Officer to join a Council in the eastern suburbs.
  • 9th March - 26th June
  • $30 per hour plus superannuation 
  • High level of data entry, processing and general customer support
Duties Include:
  • Assist with the co-ordination of reporting information
  • Accurate data input and maintenance of the Procurement Masterfile
  • Assist in the review of office support systems and processes to ensure flexible and responsive service with an industry best practice focus
  • Respond to staff in respect of the progress of tenders.
  • Assist with the formatting of reports and contract documents
  • Provide customer service on the phone and at the front counter in relation to Procurement enquiries, as required
  • Provide written response to correspondence as requested
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary or equivalent
  • Experience in procurement administration
  • Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office, Technology One and
    records management database, preferably TRIM)
  • Ability to respond to diverse work demands and identify and act on priorities
  • Current driver’s licence valid in Victoria
  • Knowledge of Local Government Procurement procedures desirable but not essential
