Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for a Personal Assistant to join a Council based in the City on a 3 month contract.

The role will see you tasked with providing effective, confidential executive support to the Branch Manager of Technology services.  The successful candidate will coordinate the branches services in a timely manner in order to respond to the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities;
  • Provide confidential support and assistance to the Branch Manager
  • Prepare and draft reports, correspondence, minutes, memos and PowerPoint presentations
  • Prepare meeting agendas and take minutes of meetings conducted followed by distribution to relevant parties
  • Organise meetings, functions and relevant catering
  • Provide administrative assistance to Directorate staff
  • Manage and screen all telephone calls
Requirements;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Secretarial experience supporting at a similar management level
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Local Government experience will be favourable
  • Proven ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
