The opportunity
You will be assisting the Payroll Coordinator on performing end-to-end payroll processing operations. This Local Council is currently undertaking a digital transformation and the Payroll team requires an extra pair of hands to work on BAU payruns.
3 key points:
  • Located in the Eastern Suburbs
  • $34 - $42 p/hour + super depending on experience
  • 2 months temporary basis with a potential extension until April 2022
What you’ll deliver
  • Staff volume: 900
  • End-to-end payroll operations, weekly pay cycles split between 2 different fortnights
  • Processing new starters, change of details and general payroll queries
  • Adherence to the relevant legislations, awards, EBAs where necessary
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and provide sound payroll advice to staff where necessary
What you’ll bring
  • Extensive experience in the usage of the Chris21 Payroll system
  • Previous payroll experience in a similar volume organization, Local Government experience desirable but not necessary
  • Positivity, self-motivation, compassion, good communication and tenacity is key to success
  • Hybrid working option – 1 to 2 days in office
  • Initial temporary basis with possibility of extension and option to apply for permanency after
  • 4 days part-time may be available for the right candidate
