Job Description

About the role:
PSP are a seeking a Payroll and Benefit Assistant for a 12month contract, with our local government client based in South-Western Sydney.

Personal Skill Requirements:
  1. Excellent analytical skills
  2. High attention to detail and accuracy essential
  3. Process driven and understands compliance implications/requirements of role
  4. Team player and is proactive to assist other team members when required
  5. Experience with high volume workload and meeting tight deadlines
  • Process large volume of employment contract variations (letters, higher duties, car allowances and deductions etc.)
  • New starter set up in Aurion
  • Manage various reconciliations as required  (leave, pays,  etc.)
  • Calculating termination pays
  • Process fortnightly payroll (running and checking reports, timesheets)
  • Process workers compensation payments
  • Managing maternity leave
  • Chasing up forms with recruitment / managers - so deadline orientated and understand our pay cycles and paying in advance
  • Ensure they comply with audit requirements (trimming everything, ensure everything is documented)
  • Proficient with excel and comfortable running query tool/system reports
  • Experience with STP (Single touch payroll)

Key Skills:
  • Covid Vaccination (copy)
  • Tertiary qualifications (Min Cert IV) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Class C Driver’s License
  • MUST HAVE Aurion Experience
