Public Sector People are currently seeking an Open Space Planner / Project Manager for a metro council. This role has come available due to an increased workload in council.
  
This is initially a contract role until end of June but likely to transition into a 3 year fixed term contract.
  
You will be working on the delivery of large state funded projects, valued at approx. 1.3 million. You will lead the consultation and delivery of park redesigns, rail duplication and be part of the referral team for the design of State led projects.
  
The successful candidate will come from a Landscape Architect, Planning or Open Space background and have either design and/or project delivery skills. This is a Band 7 position and previous public sector experience is required.
  
Requirements include:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in urban planning, environmental planning or open space planning or a related discipline (e.g. Landscape Architecture) with several years’ relevant experience
• Must be able to work autonomously.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish networks and consult and liaise effectively with external agencies, stakeholders, council and the community.
