Public Sector People is proudly supporting Rural City of Wangaratta to appoint an exciting opportunity as a Manager – Finance. Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services, the role will have a clear mandate for the Management and Leadership of the Finance team spanning across Property & Revenue, Finance and Payroll functions. Furthermore, the role will coordinate and produce reports for financial management and financial control, budgeting, annual reporting, track investments/cash flow and providing business partnering and support.
To be considered for the role, you will hold appropriate level Financial qualifications (Bachelors min), possess high level technical accounting skills, a clear understanding of financial digital reporting and systems. Working history in a similar role within Local Government/Councils will be preferred. A work from home model will be instigated, with some infrequent travel to the office in line with Government guidelines. Probity check will be required. All interviews will be undertaken under the current COVID-19 Safety guidelines.
