An exciting Local Government opportunity to join the People and Culture Department as the Manager of Corporate Risk and Safety. As part of this role, you will oversee a team of 4 and help implement necessary OHS and risk programs to minimize foreseeable risks. This is a 6-month temporary contract with possibility of extension.

General Duties for this role:

• Driving the implementation of OHS management system
• Establishing clear OHS plans & priorities
• Addressing outstanding gaps in the current system
• Driving OHS team, setting expectation to meet deliverables
• Overall oversight of the department

The Ideal Candidate will have:

•  Knowledge in compliance and understanding of the actions that need to be taken to implement OHS systems
• OHS Expert
• Management experience
