Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Leisure Services Project Planner to join a Council based 130 km North East of Melbourne CBD, on a short-term contract, with potential to extend. 

As the successful candidate you will play a part in effectively planning and contributing to the strategic development of the council facilities. A key role will be to design and create the recreation space master-plans and be involved with the community engagement and roll out process within the council.

Key Requirements; 
  • Qualifications in recreation or project management
  • Experience in recreation reserve master planning or Urban planning
  • Local government experience to support internal stakeholder engagement
  • Strength in report/strategy preparation
  • Experience and ability in mapping/concept design
  • Experience working & managing leisure facilities & contracts
  • Ability to engage all levels of stakeholders and effectively work and liaise within a diverse community to assist in building strong, productive community partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically plan for sport and leisure development
  • Victorian Drivers Licence
This position has January start. Full time hours are available, however highly flexible on less days per week over a few more weeks.
