Job Description
Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to an IT Procurement Data Analyst who would be interested in a 3-month rolling contract within a Local Government organisation.
Once this short term project has been completed, there is the opportunity to move into a Business Analyst position within the Procurement team on a longer term contract, moving in to a band 7.
This role fully supports flexible working and can accommodate a candidate who is wanting to work from home and work part time. Full time is also available.

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
- Immediate start
- Fully flexible position, work from home/ part time available if required
- Project position for 5 weeks, BA position available after the project
- $55 - $57 an hour + super

Key Responsibilities:
- Cleanse procurement data from available datasets into meaningful reports and contribute to the effective delivery of the procurement strategy.
- Recognise errors that are currently in the database and work efficiently to correct them.
- Use the internal code system to categorise the data appropriately.
- Provide analysis and reporting on the health of the procurement function and insights into performance and opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate Council expenditure through amalgamation and tendering across departments.
- Report on key supply relationships and risk profiles.
Requirements Include:
The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
- A relevant degree or diploma with relevant work experience is desirable.
- Experience in the development of data analysis and insights to inform organisation decision-making.
- Must be extremely organised and enjoy organising and understanding complex data.
- Substantial amount of computer- based data manipulation and able to utilise applications and database systems including MS Office and MS SQL Server products.
- Experience and knowledge of PowerBI.
- Must have a CURRENT police check.
