Job Description

Public Sector People is proudly and exclusively partnering again with South East Water to appoint an Integrated Water Management Engineer or Scientist. Reporting directly to the Integrated Water Manager, the role will have a clear mandate for current and future urban developments and issues by identifying and leading activities in Integrated Water Management.
Regarded as an Individual Contributor within the business, a key accountability will be to facilitate the delivery of Fisherman’s Bend IWM Strategy and future IWM urban development projects. Further for success in the role, you will:-
  • Manage and deliver IWM projects, activities and outcomes working with key stakeholders,
  • Contribute significantly to delivering through technical solutions and skills to develop new and innovative outcomes for customers,
  • Understand and leverage trends to assist in developing a strategic position within the IWM space and use insights to develop appropriate long-term community solutions,
  • Develop productive relationships and networks, enabling the transition from strategy to implementation,
  • Develop new approaches, solutions, outcomes to ensure ongoing continual progress,
  • Provide direction to support influencing government policies and regulation with IWM external activities,
  • Support the IWM team to facilitate improvements to policies, procedures and regulations,
  • Support stakeholders to transition their activities to facilitate IWM developer applications and overlays.
To be considered for the role, you will hold Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science and/or environmental engineering.  You will possess sound program and project management skills, with the ability to deliver frameworks and projects. You will work with closely with stakeholders on key issues, use supportive and emerging technologies, develop timely solutions to complex problems, and have great personal presentation and communication skills. Furthermore, you must possess proven knowledge of IWM strategies in the Water sector coupled with a pragmatic and well organised mindset to run multi-tiered projects ongoing.
