Job Description

Public Sector People is proudly supporting South East Water to appoint an Integrated Water Management Engineer/Scientist. Reporting directly to the Integrated Water Manager, the role will have a clear mandate to manage and deliver key projects related to the Fisherman Bend Integrated Water Management strategy as well as future urban developments.
  
The role will focus of core activities such as:
  • undertake project management at a high level, work with the current project managers/teams
  • recognize the issues and progress and linkages between projects
  • identify and commence work to overcome any issues and improve outcomes
  • communicate outcomes and progress updates regularly to key stakeholders
  • attend external meetings to contribute to projects status and pathways forward
  • build relationships and understanding of objectives with key stakeholders and partners
  • develop and articulate high-level presentations, reports, and status update for all audiences.
To be considered for the role, you will hold a Bachelor Engineering (or Science) and require an understanding of the Water Cycle and Integrated Water Management systems. Furthermore, preference will be given to candidates with one or more of the following:
  • current knowledge of water sensitive urban design or rainwater systems
  • integrated water management case studies experience
  • water treatment and waste developers
  • urban development and/or
  • local council water strategies.
The willingness to work within the organisations core safety values and corporate objectives will be essential. A work from home model will be instigated with onsite travel for working requirements when required, under strict COVID-19 guidelines. Probity check will be required. This role is regarded as a Level 5 and is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, supporting an internal secondment.
