Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to an Injury Management Advisor to join a Local Government on temporary basis. 

• 8th April - 7th May
• $56 per hour plus super
• 36 hours week

Injury Management Advisor

• Develop, review and monitor effective management systems, policies and procedures for occupational rehabilitation.
• Support management and staff awareness of Worker’s Compensation responsibilities and accountabilities.
• Coordinate and implementation of workplace injury management policies, procedures and programs.
• Facilitate the return to work of injured staff.
• Prepare updates & recommendations on any legislation change for the executive and other relevant parties.
• Encourage the prompt reporting of incidents and contribute to creating a positive safety culture.
• Provide support to the organisation to minimise the cost of claims and deliver successful return to work outcomes.
• Manage all aspects of Councils WorkCover claims

Qualifications & Experience:

Mandatory:

• Extensive experience and a high level of expertise in managing WorkCover claims and return to work coordination;
• Ability to interpret legislation and apply sections of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013
• Completion of relevant Diploma or Degree or extensive work experience gained in a complex/diverse organisation.

Desirable:
Experience using CHRIS 21, Elumina and Ascentor data bases.
