Public Sector People (PSP) 
are currently looking to speak to an Hub Buyer/Purchasing Officer to join a Local Government on temporary basis. 
  • 12th July for 3 months
  • $34 per hour plus super
  • 38 hours week
  • Western Council

Hub Buyer/Purchasing Officer
  • To provide efficient and effective services to the whole organisation with respect to the creation and management of purchase orders.
  • To provide accurate and efficient maintenance of the supplier portal and the self-service procurement catalogue. The incumbent must possess the ability to work to tight deadlines and be able to work independently but also part of a well-developed team environment.
  • Ensure that the procurement policy and relevant legislation is applied to all purchase order requests throughout the life cycle of the purchase order including any requests for amendments.
  • Input and maintain information on the self-service procurement catalogue ensuring the items are accurate and suppliers are in a current contract with Council.
  • Produce, interpret and display spend analysis data in reports.
Requirements include:
  • Police Check valid in the last 6 months (carried out by you if successful)
