Exciting new opportunity in the South East!

Public Sector People
 are currently inviting applications for the role of a Health, Safety & Well-being Business Partner to join a Council in the south eastern suburbs.
  • Start ASAP
  • 6 Months
  • $51 - $56 per hour plus superannuation
  • 38 hours a week
Duties include:
  • Developing, implementing and coordinating sound health, safety and well-being practices and procedures to enable a safe and healthy working environment for Council employees, contractors and volunteers
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of Council’s integrated risk, health, safety and well-being strategies and objectives by driving cultural change through the facilitation of effective partnerships across the organisation
  • Influencing the adoption of organisation-wide, best practice workers compensation, injury prevention and early intervention injury management practices to drive the reduction of claims and premium costs
  • Contributing to the design, development and implementation of an integrated health, safety and well-being strategy, framework and positive cultural change
  • Supporting and guiding the organisation through coaching and mentoring staff, contractors and volunteers on Council’s expectations prescribed in its risk, health, safety and well-being systems
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety and/or significant experience in safety management
  • Substantial occupational health, safety & well-being advisory experience in a multi-disciplinary organisation
  • Proven competency in the provision of expert advice, excellent customer service and collaborative case management
  • Experience in auditing and implementing health and safety management systems
  • Police Check Required
