Job Description

PSP are currently working with a busy growth area council in the West of Melbourne on the recruitment of two environmental planner positions.
  
Reporting into the Coordinator of Environment and Sustainability, you will be working to ensure compliance with planning permit conditions, including Native Vegetation Offset requirements and Environmental Management Plans.
  
You will be managing environmental planning referrals and providing environmental planning advice to applicants and members of the community.
  
Both roles are contract positions until December, may be extended depending on workload at the time. Very flexible working arrangements, open to part-time applicants. Pay rate $65 - $70 p/h + super.
  
Requirements include:
  
  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Planning, or related field with relevant experience or lesser formal qualification with substantial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with and/or knowledge of relevant Federal and State legislation, the Victorian planning system, including experience and knowledge of the environmental planning process.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental management plans, native vegetation management and protecting and enhancing biodiversity.
  
Benefits include:
  
  • $65 - $70 p/h + super
