Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to Digital Content Officers (websites) to join a Local Government immediately for a 2 month temporary assignment.

About the role:
  • Draft, edit, publish and maintain content for Council’s website and complimentary services
General Duties Include:
  • Ensure content published to Council’s website and other digital channels addresses user needs and provides the best possible customer experience
  • Manage the development, repurposing, editing and publishing of content across Council’s website
  • Respond to and manage business as usual (BAU) digital requests
  • Gather content requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Act as a content expert and work with subject matter experts to develop usable, accessible, plain English and SEO optimised content that is consistent with Councils content strategy
  • Track and manage feedback and approvals from subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate and meets user needs
  • Advise stakeholders across the organisation on digital best practices, championing the customer
  • Repurpose print and PDF material to be suitable for digital consumption
Requirements:
  • Experience in public relations or a communications discipline
  • Previous experience in website design, maintenance and social media
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
