Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an experienced Development Engineer to join our local council client in Sydney. This role will be responsible for managing all engineering and public infrastructure matters relating to development applications and consents.
  
Initial 6 month contract
Rate negotiable based on experience
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing, and ensuring developer compliance with Council’s standards, specifications and infrastructure related conditions of development consent
• Management of development referrals to achieve Council’s development assessment and corporate response timelines

Key Skills:

• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or other appropriate discipline recognised by a relevant Australian professional institute.
• Comprehensive experience in establishing engineering conditions of consent and successful management of development related activities impacting public infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Roads Act, Local Government Act and Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and associated regulations.
• Sound experience in the design and construction of civil infrastructure.
