About the role: 
The successful candidate will be joining the Asset Design team for a min of 6 months with the potential to extend up to 1 year. Our local government client need someone to start asap and the position is full-time. We require an experienced Road Design Project Manager that can work alongside our Senior Design Engineer (roads), and work with the roads team to ensure our road design projects are completed in time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience in the review of road designs by Council staff and external consultants
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and coordination of design staff and/or engineering consultants
  • Extensive experience in project management of design projects and programs
  • Extensive post qualification in preparing estimates for storm-water drainage and other civil engineering projects
  • Experience in dealing with government, statutory authorities and consultants
  • Experience in project management and corporate software preferably MS Project, Excel and Technology
  • Experience in use of civil software such as 12D or equivalent and AutoCAD
  • National Engineer Certified (NER) to allow sign off of civil design work (roads)
Key Skills: 
  • Project manage S7.11/SIC/HAF road design programs and staff
  • Ensure monthly progress status reports are updated and completed on time
  • Degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Track key project approvals and follow up as required
  • Assist in other design project management activities as required including new project management framework
