About the position:
As the Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor, working collaboratively with the MBS, you will be tasked with assisting in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Building Services Unit, ensuring compliance with the Victorian Building Legislation and efficiently administer the provisions of the Building Act and Regulations.

Performing an integral role in supporting the MBS in the delivery of the statutory and permit function of council, you will oversee an established team of industry professionals, thus strong leadership and previous experience operating at a senior level within local government or private practice is imperative and will see you flourish within this role.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Registration as a Building Surveyor – Unlimited as issued with the VBA
  • Experience managing and delivering a diverse range of building permits
  • Excellent leadership, communication and time-management skills
  • A customer-centric approach with the ability to foster and drive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
