Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to experienced Government Administrator  to join a regional  Local Government in Victoria's west on a contract to commence ASAP  for an initial 8 weeks with the potential for ongoing work. 
  • Immediate start - 8 weeks 
  • Potential for ongoing work 
  • Band 4 hourly rate 
  • Work close to home in Regional Vic - West
  • Hybrid working - 3 days office. 2 from home 
  • Governance | Business Support | Government 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Administration support to the Director of Corporate Governance 
  • Financial management - invoicing & purchase order request 
  • Act as liaison between insurer & businesses 
  • Assist with the set up of Council meetings
  • Prepare weekly reports for Councillor requests 
  • Other Governance support and reporting as directed my Manager and Governance team 
Key Requirements: 
  • Proven high level administration experience 
  • Previous experience in Local Government or similar organisation 
  • Understanding of Governance practices within political environment desirable 
  • High standard of written communication, with proven experience dealing with management, executives, employees, councillors & other internal and external stakeholders 
  • Highly developed time management skills, ability to plan, manage and organise your workload
