Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a Core Infrastructure Services Engineer join a Local Government on a contract.  
  • Inner Melbourne suburb location (WFH available) 
  • 27th September start date
  • 6-month contract
  • $700 - $850 daily rate + super
Key Criteria: 
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the day-to-day operations of core technology services and perform regular updates and planning for servers and infrastructure.
  • Resolve infrastructure incidents and issues in line with service KPIs.
  • Attend to incident and service requests within a timely manner and deliver a high standard of service to stakeholders.
  • Support projects and operational teams by providing technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle ensuring systems are reliable and secure.
  • Actively contribute and recommend improvements and support the on-going operation of core services including capacity planning, managing security, and providing advice on the development and planning of infrastructure.  
Requirements Include:

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or information technology.
  • Significant experience in IT engineering, including changes and support for infrastructure services such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Server and VMware technologies.
  • Experience in cyber security and the design and management of infrastructure systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, understand and resolve problems.
  • Must be able to commit for the 6-month period.
