Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a Cleaning Supervisor who is interested in to joining a Local Government on a temporary contract in  Northern QLD, FIFO basis.
  • Temporary Assignment - 3 Months
  • Pay Rate of $35.47 p/h plus super
  • Opportunity to impact a remote council and community
Key Objective of this role is to deliver a high standard of staff supervision and cleaning for Council’s facilities.  

General Requirements Include:
  • Provide a high level of supervision and guidance for the Cleaning team
  • General cleaning of Council Offices, Council Chambers and Council  Accommodation
  • Liaise with Accommodation Coordinator on day to day activities and on matters pertaining to the operations and safety within the work area
  • Ensure an understanding of the safe use of specialist equipment i.e. vacuum cleaner
  • Ensure an understanding of the safe use of chemicals needed for the role
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment is used at all times
  • Cleaning of all facilities to the highest standards to prevent the spread of disease and infection and to provide clean and sanitary conditions
  • To take all care needed to ensure personal safety and health are maintained
  • Ensure all damaged or faulty equipment is reported to Accommodation Coordinator as soon as identified
  • The control of stock levels to meet daily requirements
  • The person will be responsible for all allocated materials, vehicle, tools and equipment in her/his use
  • The incumbent  must accept responsibility for quality and standard of work performed.
The successful Candidate will have a valid Drivers License, be able to successfully conduct a police clearance and currently posses Australian working rights.
