Public Sector People are again working in partnership with The City of Melton in the search for an experienced Coordinator Capital Projects on a fixed term contract.

In this role, you will play a very key part of the Capital Projects Leadership team at City of Melton. Reporting to the Manager Capital Projects, this role will coordinate the delivery of capital works projects including major projects of strategic importance to Council valued between $500,000 - $100million.

Duties will include but not limited to:
• Coordinate the delivery of capital works projects in accordance with councils PMF
• Coach, mentor, support & develop staff within the team whilst building and maintaining culture
• Internal and external stakeholder management
Coordinating and assisting other service units working towards Council’s 10 year plan
• Prepare project related documents including briefs, business cases, reports & presentations

Requirements include:
• Qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or relevant
• Strong ability to effectively lead a team and organise works and resources
• Proven understanding of Project Management methodology
• Extensive experience in large scale project and contract management
• Excellent communications with demonstrated experience in stakeholder management
