Job Description

Public Sector People are working with a local council in the south suburbs (LOGAN) of Brisbane to recruit an experienced Business Improvement Coordinator with a strong focus on Change Management for a temporary contract position until end of December with possible extension! 
The purpose of the role is to lead the development and implementation of business strategy, systems support and configuration, data analysis and process improvement, and change management to the Administration Branch.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • o Lead the development of strategic frameworks, plans, policies and procedures
  • o Lead and facilitate the review of existing data sources and the future capture of data to demonstrate value for money across the organisation.
  • o Lead and facilitate the review, analysis and documentation of business processes, systems, policies, strategic documents and frameworks.
  • o Consult and collaborate with business stakeholders and technical experts to identify and document business requirements, gaps, potential solutions, and improvements.
  • o Oversee the provision of change management services to internal and external stakeholders and customers.
  • o Deliver the Administration Branch’s business improvement projects, ensuring benefits are defined based on customer requirements and that all projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • o Undertake regular research and maintain awareness of new standards, industry trends and innovations to guide analysis and recommendations.
  • o Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current best practice business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • o Lead the development and implementation of strategic business improvement and/or change management projects.
  • o Prepare and present proposals, reports, project management and change management plans, business plans, budget submissions and other documentation as required.
About you:
  • Degree qualifications in business or Project management. (Highly desirable)
  • Extensive business process and systems analysis skills
  • Relevant Agile Project Management or Agile Business Analysis qualifications. (Desirable).
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills ability to apply business analyst and change management tools and techniques.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.
  • Highly proficient in eliciting and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience recommending business improvement solutions to stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, highly organised and able to work autonomously under limited direction.
  • Ability to work a 9 day fortnight (flexible hours)
  • WFH 2 days a week
  • $61.83 per hour + Super (negotiable)
  • Monday to Friday – 38 hours per week
