Job Description

Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a Business Analyst join a Local Government on a contract.  
  • West Melbourne location (currently work from home)
  • Immediate start
  • 3-month contract
  • Up to $58.80 per hour + super  
  • Functional BA role
Key Criteria: 
  • Support the identification, evaluation and approval of projects including facilitation and documentation of business requirements.
  • Map current application and business level processes.
  • Contribute to improvements to the business processes and information systems by analysing business problems and opportunities.
  • Understand current and future state processes, recommending design solutions and development of business cases.
  • Work to improve organisation systems/ processes to maximise employee efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Test products within the development life cycle to ensure the quality of the product, and the anticipated value of that product is delivered.
  • Stakeholder management, working closely with customers on projects and working together to improve business processes.
Requirements Include:

The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT.
  • Local Government experience desirable or a great understanding of processes.
  • Process mapping/ analysis skills essential.
  • Ability to undertake analysis, generate and report on information and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to liaise with stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes.
  • If successful, will be required to have an up-to-date National Police Check.
