Job Description

Public Sector People are working with a local council in the south suburbs (LOGAN) of Brisbane to recruit Multiple Administration officers for a number of temporary positions for a 3-month contract with the possibility for extension! 
  
Reporting to the Process Liaison Officer the successful applicant will work with the Road Infrastructure Planning department to provide administrative and secretarial support.
  
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Provide outstanding customer service to customer enquires relating to the branch.
  • helping with the preparation of meeting and taking minutes of meetings.
  • Provide system support and advice in relation to customer service systems and assist the development of procedural documentation for the branch.
  • Provide assistance to the Business Administration Team in relation to applications for traffic investigation memos, permits, service approvals and  driveway crossovers.
  • Within the scope of the position process traffic permits for temporary road closures, residential parking, storage of containers on footpaths to comply with all quality processes by liaising with various external traffic management companies on behalf of the Traffic Program.
  • Within the scope of the position prepare flood searches/certificates and correspondence for the River and Catchment Engineering program
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Local, State or Federal government experience (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated administration and customer service experience
  • Experience with Systems Such As FINANCE 1, PATHWAY.
  • Must be Intermediate to advance with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience within the Road, Traffic, or infrastructure industry would be an advantage but not essential.
