Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Planning Support Officer to join our client in Melbourne's coastal north-west. This position will offer an initial 6 week contact with the potential to extend.

The responsibilities of your role is to provide administration support to the Statutory Planning unit, to field large number of phone calls and queries, maintain databases, planning & subdivision filing along with coordinating referrals to statutory authorities & then provide notice of application. 

Key Requirements: 
  • Qualifications in administration or customer service, & experience within the town planning, subdivision or building area within the relevant industry
  • Experience with systems such as; PATHWAY, TRIM , MERIT, OBJECTIVE, AUTHORITY or similar 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Previous experience supporting large teams & managing conflicting priorities
