Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for Administration Officer to join a regional council located in central part of the state, supporting Council's People & Culture team. On offer is a part time (24 hours) contract through until October 2021. 

As the successful candidate you will provide high level of administrative support to the People & Culture Department, within a politically sensitive local government environment. Providing outstanding levels of customer service to Council employees, Councillors, the general public and other key stakeholders. 

Key Requirements: 
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or relevant, or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-level administrative support in a confidentially sensitive office environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to gain co-operation and assistance from both the public and other staff members, sometimes involving sensitive issues
