Job Description

Public Sector People are currently inviting applications for the role of Administration Officer to join a municipality that is mostly defined by natural boundaries in Melbourne's north. The successful candidate will be based in the Civic Compliance team and will include general administration functions for the local laws office including answering phones, issuing permits, written correspondence and assisting with infringement reviews. 

Key Requirements; 
  • Substantial experience in administration or customer service within town planning, building or local laws 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to show empathy and provide conflict resolution
  • Experience with systems such as; Proclaim, SPEAR and Trim
  • Experience in the issuing of permits in relation to Local Government Acts & Regulations
