Media & Communications Officer

Looking for experienced Media & Communications professional to join Council on a temporary basis. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of Council through strategic and responsive media and communications initiatives.  

• Tertiary qualification in public relations, journalism, marketing and/or communications (or a related discipline) with some relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
• Competency in social media and digital platforms
• Demonstrated ability and experience in the development and implementation of creative marketing materials and strategies, across diverse mediums
• Proven experience providing high level Media relations and Communications advice within political environment 
• Understanding of Local Government or political working environment advantageous
