Technical Project Manager – Fleet Innovation & TechnologyWestern Sydney | Contract Opportunity | Local Government
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the delivery of fleet, plant, sustainability, and technology projects within a large local government environment.
This role will oversee major fleet replacement programs, EV and hydrogen vehicle initiatives, charging infrastructure projects, telematics implementation, workshop digitisation, and strategic asset management programs.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning, procurement, and delivery of fleet, plant, and technology projects from concept through to implementation.
- Develop technical specifications, business cases, project plans, budgets, and risk management frameworks.
- Manage fleet replacement programs, vehicle commissioning, supplier performance, and contract outcomes.
- Drive innovation initiatives including electric and hydrogen vehicle trials, charging infrastructure, and sustainability projects.
- Implement telematics, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives to improve fleet performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements: - Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering fleet, plant, transport, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of procurement, contract management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance, asset management, and project governance frameworks.
- Experience with fleet technologies, telematics, sustainability initiatives, or digital transformation projects highly regarded.
