Senior Urban Planner (Grade 17, $117,109 – $131,160 + 12% Super)

Blacktown City Council is seeking two Senior Urban Planners to contribute to the delivery of innovative, evidence-based urban planning strategies and policy development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and review planning strategies, policies and environmental planning instruments.
• Contribute to Council’s submissions on State Government initiatives.
• Undertake research and analysis to support strategic planning priorities.
• Provide professional advice to internal and external stakeholders on urban planning matters.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Urban or Regional Planning (or related field).
• Demonstrated experience in urban planning or policy roles.
• Strong analytical, report writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of relevant planning legislation and frameworks.
• Collaborative, proactive approach to solving complex planning issues.
