Blacktown City Council is seeking a highly experienced Senior Coordinator Urban Planning to lead a dynamic team delivering innovative, evidence-based planning strategies across land use, transport, housing, and environmental planning.

What You’ll Be Doing - Lead and manage the Urban Planning team to deliver high-quality strategies, policies, and environmental planning instruments
- Coordinate responses to state-led strategies and planning reforms.
- Drive innovation through research, policy development, and continuous improvement.
- Represent Council in public forums, inquiries and inter-agency discussions.
- Manage staff performance, budgets, and operational delivery.
What You’ll Bring - Tertiary qualifications in Urban or Regional Planning (or related field).
- Significant experience in strategic planning, policy formulation and project management.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of the EP&A Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and relevant instruments.
- High-level communication and report writing ability.
