We’re seeking an experienced and proactive
Injury Management Support Officer
to join a supportive People & Culture team on a contract through to
end of February, with an
immediate start
available.
In this role, you’ll provide day-to-day support across injury management, WorkCover administration, reporting, and return-to-work coordination. You’ll work closely with the Safety & Wellbeing team to ensure timely and accurate claims management, maintain key systems, support safe return-to-work outcomes, and assist with injury prevention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lodge WorkCover claims within legislative timeframes and complete all related administration.
- Support effective case management for both work and non-work-related injuries.
- Prepare tailored Return to Work Plans and liaise with treatment providers and the insurance agent.
- Reconcile weekly compensation reimbursements and maintain accurate claims files.
- Compile and analyse monthly injury data, reports, and incident summaries.
- Maintain the incident reporting system (Elumina) including claims data.
- Provide input at Safety & Wellbeing meetings and assist with prevention programs.
- Coordinate vendor setup, invoicing and payments related to injury management.
About You
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Professional, confidential, and able to work effectively with sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust with injured workers, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of WorkCover, return-to-work processes, or experience in HR administration.
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes quickly.
- Local Council Experience
- Working With Children Check and Police Check required.
WorkCover or Return-to-Work experience is highly regarded, but candidates with strong HR admin experience and an interest in injury management are encouraged to apply.
