Following on from the success of our last collaboration, we are delighted to announce that we have, yet again, partnered with Deakin Talent, the Careers and Employment Service for Deakin University to assist graduates in finding roles within councils across Regional Victoria.

Our last project with Deakin Talent was great for interaction across regional VIC and gaining further understanding as to their main needs (engineering, planning, environment). It opened up a lot more communications with students across many disciplines and highlighted how many people were interested in regional areas.

“DeakinTALENT are proud to be working with Public Sector People developing our Deakin graduates into candidates for roles within the regional and metropolitan Victorian public sector. With the support of PSP we hope to educate and prepare our students and graduates for opportunities available for a variety of degree qualifications across Victoria.” – Lauren Murray, Deakin Talent

The collaboration of Deakin and PSP was great, having a system in place from initial application to interviews stage meant that all students went through a formal process and the process was very efficient. Bryony Reid who has been leading the process has been delighted with the response so far:

"The standard of applications has been overwhelming, not only the interest in working regionally but the professionalism and experience of the graduates who have been shortlisted so far. We are now in the final stages so very exciting times ahead!"

If you are interested in understanding the process we have been through, the graduates we are actively working with who are looking at regional opportunities, feel free to reach out to Bryony on the details below.
