We announced last week that we are launching a new offering for our clients, search and selection. In conjunction with this, we are also pleased to introduce Paul Gleeson, who has come on board to develop this new area of our business. With fourteen years recruitment and consulting experience, placing roles from Management to Executive C Suite roles across Industry, Corporate and Institutions, Paul comes with a wealth of experience and has joined Public Sector People in a Business Leader role to drive this new initiative. So let’s hear a little more from Paul…

 

So Paul, what was the attraction to join Public Sector People?

For me, the attraction to join PSP was definitely the people in the business and the opportunity to grow a search and selection practice with a clear focus from the ground up. I’m am also very keen to help develop and further enhance PSP’s reputation in the marketplace.

 

What will be the focus of this new client offering?

The focus is on Permanent Technical roles, from Director to Manager level across the broader Public Sector specialising in Engineering, Delivery & Operations, and Asset & Capital Management.

 

Does this differ to your previous roles? And if so, in what way?

I’ve predominantly recruited for ASX Listed, Large Corporates and Private enterprise, across Sales and Marketing including C suite roles. There always has been a focus with customers who have either a unique offering or market position and usually I take on the hard to fill roles. I’m looking forward to taking this knowledge and experience into my new role here at PSP and grow a search and selection practice across the Public Sector.

 

What do the next few months look like for this new client offering? 

As we are only still in our first month, our efforts at present, is in talking to industry leaders to gain a clear understanding of their needs – what’s important to them.  We are here to really support those clients with difficult to fill technical based opportunities, and likely a lot of these will be in remote and regional locations.  We have a clear goal to support these local and regional communities, in particular, the Water Corporations and Water Management Catchment Authorities.
